Chief - "True Love" (feat. Blu & Sene)

Blu continues his complete domination in West Coast Hip Hop the rap game. At this point, there’s no use in attempting to be anything less than effusive while discussing the emcee and producer. He’s even recently announced that he and Exile are prepping a follow up to the stunning masterpiece, yes masterpiece that was Below the Heavens.

While we all wait with bated breath for that, Blu remains busy. His protégé, if that’s an appropriate term and I think that it is, Sene has been working to make it through the mire of the internet rap game and solidify a name for himself with no small help from Blu. It should be mentioned that Blu still hasn’t dropped that major label disc as of yet, but still seems capable of pushing other artists out into the market place.

A few weeks back, the duo went in on a video together. And this time, both Blu and Sene make an appearance on a track from Switzerland’s Chief. The producer and deejay has been readying Collabo Collection which features a spate of rap talents – among them Moka Only, John Robinson and Ab Rude.

"True Love," though, finds Sene and Blu going in over an organ based soul track. Yeah, the songs about a topic that doesn’t need too much more figuring, but hearing both emcees together is pretty entertaining and even allows listeners to hear the differences – ‘cause for a while there, it kinda seemed like it was the same guy. They still have the same cadences, but that just makes each emcee talented.

The funny thing is that Switzerland seems to have a heap of production talents…who knew?
